Synopsis:

She wants a baby
All I’ve ever desired is a family of my own. Too afraid I’ll follow in my late mother’s footsteps, I plan to have a baby before time runs out. Problem is, I fell in love with someone unattainable. John Hamilton is kind, thoughtful, and generous...and it doesn’t hurt that he’s built like a Mack truck. I’m ready to throw caution to the wind and ask him to be the father of my child. The only problem? He’s my stepbrother, and it could destroy our family.
He just wants her
The first time I met Emery Collins, she was a scrawny teenager...and my new stepsister.  She’s a grown woman now, and every long, hard inch of me has taken notice. But with our family ties, she’s officially off limits. Too bad she’s come to me with something she wants, something she needs from me. Now I can’t stop dreaming of filling her...of watching her belly swell with my child. What she’s asking for could tear apart our cobbled-together family. I’m just not sure it’s enough to stop me from taking what I want.
You know the drill: looking for something quick, filthy, and taboo? The couples of Temperance Falls deliver.

REVIEW: Undercover Attraction by Katee Robert

Synopsis:

Scandal. Wealth. Power. Seduction. Welcome to the world of the O'Malleys.

Ex-cop Charlotte Finch used to think there was a clear line between right and wrong. Then her fellow officers betrayed her, and the world is no longer so black and white. Especially when it's Aiden O'Malley, one of the most dangerous men in Boston, who offers her a chance for justice. The only catch: she'll have to pretend to be his fiancée for his plan to work.

Aiden can't afford to let anyone see the man behind the mask. To run the O'Malley empire, he has to be cool and controlled at all times. But the moment he meets Charlie, they're playing with fire. Her slightest touch is enough to send him over the edge. At first their "engagement" was a way to eliminate his enemies. Now he'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe-- even if he has to destroy his own family to do it.

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

Undercover Attraction, the fifth book in Katee Robert's O'Malley's series was an amazing read. Every singe thing about this book worked for me. Aiden was my least favorite character in the previous books in this series, but in this book the author made me love him. His character was seriously fucked up in some of the things that he did, but I kind of loved the fact that he was willing to go to extremes to protect the people he cared about. I also really liked Charlie. She was an interesting character to read about and I really loved the way that she interacted with Aiden and the other characters in this book. And talking about Charlie's interactions with Aiden, the romance in this book truly was on point. It was over the top hot, but there was also more to their relationship than just hot, steamy moments. Having these two work together to attempt to bring down Dmitri Romanov and trust in each other, which eventually led to them falling in love was perfect. And referring to them trying to bring down Romanov, the whole story revolving around that and the situation with the Eldridges really had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading. Overall, I couldn't get enough of this book. The author has truly proven that she is a master at perfectly blending the romantic and suspenseful elements in these stories to create an unforgettable story and I love that. Needless to say, I really recommend this book and can't wait for the next book in this series!

REVIEW: The Baby Project by Miranda Liasson

Synopsis:

Liz Kingston spends her life delivering babies and longs for one of her own. All she needs is someone with fabulous genetic material. Who better to ask than her sexy ex-fling, a man who has no interest in ever settling down or being a father?

International correspondent Grant Wilbanks loves the danger and excitement of travelling the world. But nothing in all this Brit’s experience prepared him for the way a torrid affair with Liz makes him feel. When she asks for his assistance, he figures he can help her out with a simple donation. No strings, no emotions, just…test-tube science.

But this simple favor gives them both more than they ever bargained for. Grant agrees to her terms, but the idea of stepping away starts to feel wrong. The more time they spend together, the more Grant finds himself falling…and losing the battle to safeguard his heart.

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

The Baby Project was a great contemporary romance. Miranda Liasson has been an author that I have been wanting to read for a while, so I'm happy that I finally got a chance to read one of her books because this book was as amazing as I was expecting it to be. First off, I loved that this book had one of my all-time favorite tropes. I don't know why books involving pregnancies and babies make me so happy, but they do and this book was a perfect example of it. But as much as I love that trope, what really made me love this book was the fact that Liz and Grant's story was a second chance romance. I really loved the way that the author choose to develop their story and the ways that these two moved on from how things ended between them when they had first met overseas. It was all so perfect and the pace at which everything progressed had me unable to put this book down. Overall, this book was a fantastic romance and has convinced me that I need to add some more Miranda Liasson books to my immediate TBR list. Obviously, I highly recommend this book!

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

The Cinderella Fantasy was a fun and entertaining contemporary romance. It was pretty much everything I was expecting this book to be like when I requested a copy for review and I loved it so much. The story at it's core was a falling in love with the brother's best friend romance and Sara Jane Stone executed that trope perfectly. I loved the way that she set up Lucy and Jared's romance from him rescuing her from horrible first dates with guys she met online to him doing everything possible to prove to Lucy that he was the right guy for her. It was all so sweet and adorable and so much sexier than I was expecting, but in a good way. As I already stated I loved this book so much. It was a perfect romance and exactly the type of book I needed to get me back into my reading groove. Needless to say I really recommend this book and I'm looking forward to more books in this cute series!

Tension roiled between us. That tether pulled taut. Drawing us closer. I swallowed around it and reached for the latch. He was quick to open his door, jumping out and rounding to my side before I had time to step out of his massive truck. He helped me down, and his hand scorched where he aided me by holding on to my elbow.

“Let me walk you to the door. Last thing I need to be worried about is you here by yourself and some asshole taking advantage of you.”

He quirked this belly-flopping grin that pierced me like an arrow. “Unless of course that asshole is me.”

He barely angled his head to the side. There was something so endearing and self-deprecating about it. Everything about him right then was at odds with the surly, bear of a man I’d met weeks ago, the man exposing himself, layer by layer.

I lifted my chin, both in strength and vulnerability, tossing all the uncertainties and questions out into the open. “Should I be afraid?”

“Yeah, you should be.” His response was hard, but there was no missing the fact his irritation was aimed at himself. He set his palm on the small of my back, helping me through the gravel drive in my heels, an inch behind as we ascended the porch steps.
We crossed the planks. That tension wound higher with each step until we were nothing but needy pants at my door. Slowly, I turned around to face him.

His presence sent a ripple of energy vibrating across the floorboards, the overwhelming sight of him the owner of my breath.

He stood beneath the faint glow of the hurricane lamp that hung outside the door. A sculpture of sinewy muscle and raw strength, forged through years of obvious physical labor. Every inch of him was rugged, from those roughened, callused hands to the crinkles set deep at the edges of his eyes.

The man was a carving of pure, daunting beauty.

“What exactly am I supposed to be afraid of, Rex?” My brow twisted, and my voice quieted with the admission. “Because when I’m around you, the last thing I feel is afraid.”

“I fuck everything up, Rynna, and the only thing I’ve got to offer you is my mess. I can’t do this.”

Restraint rumbled in his chest, the sound so deep I felt it shake the ground beneath my feet.
I gently cupped one side of his rugged face. “I’m not afraid.”

It was a promise.

An appeal.

“You should be,” he grated. “Warned you, my shit doesn’t ever end well.”

“Maybe that’s a chance I’m willing to take.”

He groaned and he planted his hands high above my head. The man panted above me, torn, desperate, his nose just brushing mine. “God damn it, Rynna. God damn it.”

I felt the moment he broke. When the thread pulled too tight and this mesmerizing man snapped. His mouth descended on mine.

Overpowering.

Overwhelming.

Dizzying.

Lips and tongue and nips of teeth.

And those hands. They were on my face. My neck. My waist. Somehow, I managed to hold on to him and spin away as I fumbled with the lock. He pressed against my backside, his cock against my bottom, and his mouth leaving a trail of fire at the side of my neck. We stumbled into the darkness of my house, breaking apart as I turned to face him.
The only light trickled down from the lamp I’d left on upstairs.

Slowly, he clicked the door shut behind him. We stood there, two feet away from each other, staring.

Chests heaving.

Before we collided.

A tangle of tongues and bodies.

The man frantic, trying to touch me everywhere.

“What am I doing? Fuck, what am I doing?” he muttered incoherently, kissing me deeper. Madder. Wilder.

I pushed up on my toes and tore my mouth from his so I could kiss down the strong column of his throat. His head thudded back against the door, his entire body pressing against it as if he needed it to keep him standing.

He grated my name, and I kept kissing at his throat while I worked free the button on his jeans, hands shaking.

Every reservation spun out of control.

Out of reach.

It was only spurred further when the defined muscles of his abdomen jumped and twitched beneath my touch, when he mumbled, “You’re killing me, Rynna. Fucking killing me.”
Desire rippled from him in heady waves.

And I felt so brave and bold, my kisses brazen as I nipped at the hollow of his throat.
Before I could consider it—the ramifications and the repercussions and the distinct threat to my heart—I dropped to my knees.

I refused to think of anything but setting him free.

Hoping he’d find a little of that freedom in me.

REVIEW: Seducing His Student by London Hale

Synopsis:

The last thing a newly hired dean should be doing is one of his students…

Dirty flirting with the unbelievably hot barista at Bundt & Grind café is not how Elliott Goodridge should be spending his time. Temperance Falls College hired him to counteract a scandal—not burn through his paychecks on overpriced coffee with a side of impure thoughts.

For the amount of time college student Samantha Monroe spends fantasizing about the new guy in town, she should know more than just his name. But despite putting out all kinds of signs that she's down for, well, putting out, Elliott hasn't made a move. Yet.

By the time the truth is revealed, it's too late to stop the charge between them. Sparks fly, but so do rumors. For Elliott, a day without his hands on Sam is too long—and two orgasm-free weeks until graduation is flat-out impossible.

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Anyone who knows me or follows my reviews knows I absolutely love student-teacher romances and while Seducing His Student isn't a perfect example of that trope since Elliott is the Dean of Students and not Sam's direct teacher, the situation was close enough and I absolutely loved it!!! Seducing His Student was another A+ sexy novella by the amazing writing duo who make up London Hale. You would think that after releasing eight novellas back to back in the last several months that these ladies would start to falter in their writing, but in their case their stories are just getting better and better and as of right now Elliott and Sam's story is definitely my favorite of the Temperance Falls books. The way that they had everything play out between Elliot and Sam from them not knowing who each other was when they were flirting with one another at the coffee shop to them having a secret affair was so perfectly thrilling that I couldn't get enough. Overall, this book was a flawless steamy romance novella and it has me even more excited than I already was about what these two are going to write about next.

About the Author:

Sorcha Mowbray is a mild mannered office worker by day…okay, so she is actually a mouthy, opinionated, take charge kind of gal who bosses everyone around; but she definitely works in an office. At night she writes romance so hot she sets the sheets on fire! Just ask her slightly singed husband.

She is a longtime lover of historical romance, having grown up reading Johanna Lindsey and Judith McNaught. Then she discovered Thea Devine and Susan Johnson. Holy cow! Heroes and heroines could do THAT? From there, things devolved into trying her hand at writing a little smexy. Needless to say, she liked it and she hopes you do too!

MY REVIEW

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

5 out of 5 stars

I wasn't familiar with this author before picking up this book, but now that I have read this book I'm definitely adding Sorcha Mowbray to my must-read authors list. His Hand-Me-Down Countess was a fantastic historical romance read. Everything about this story worked for me. I loved the characters and the circumstances that the main couple found themselves in were so entertaining and had me incapable of putting this book down. The way that the author had everything play out between Theo and Stone was perfect. But beyond just them, the non-romance related aspects of the book were also interesting to read about. But what I especially loved about this book was that it was so much more steamy than your typical historical romance because sometimes I just crave a really hot romance that is not a contemporary and this one satisfied that craving completely. Overall, I loved this book so much and I can't wait to read about the other Lustful Lords in future books!

RELEASE DAY BLITZ: Dear Bridget, I Want You by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

Synopsis:

Dear Bridget,
I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.
So, here goes.
We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.
But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
I want you.
The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.
So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.
No questions asked.
Think about it.
Or don’t.
Whatever you choose.
It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.

REVIEW: Laid by Brill Harper

Synopsis:

Conner
I’m in over my head with these kids, but I’m all the family they have left after my sister and her husband were killed. I’m a bricklayer, what do I know about twin baby girls? Nothing. Thank God for the sweet girl-next-door.
But she’s a blessing and a curse.
I’ve practically moved the poor girl in to help me care for these babies, but playing house is stirring up all kinds of feelings that should never see the light of day. I know she’s got a crush on me, but what I want to do to her body would crush her innocence forever.
She’s too sweet, too innocent, and way too young for a perv like me.

Cassidy
Mr. Webster is trying so hard to do the right thing and take care of everyone. But who takes care of him? I know under normal circumstances I would hardly even register on his radar, but lately, when he looks at me, I feel like there’s more between us than there should be. Maybe more than he wants.
He works so hard. Provides for his nieces. Makes sure I’m a happy babysitter. But he’s so tense. So unhappy.
I want to give him something.
Something he wants. Something he needs. Something no man has ever had before.
Me.

Author's Confession: Writing this series is like eating candy for dinner. I'm like...sorry, not sorry. Conner is the book boyfriend you want in your life. I promise. And if you ever had a crush on the DILF while babysitting, this book is for you.

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Laid was another fun and sexy novella from this author and I absolutely loved it mostly because it included so many of my favorite tropes. Seriously, the whole single dad falling for the young babysitter really worked for me. Like really, really worked for me. On top of that, the story was just really good. The overall plot was a bit far-fetched, but it was more developed than the previous books in this series, so it was particularly satisfying. But the best part of this book was how Conner and Cassidy were together. Their relationship was really crazy hot, but it was also quite sweet and that combination made these two my favorite couple in this series so far! I loved it so much and I absolutely recommend this book!

Every time I considered leaving my room, I would grab the framed picture of Ben and stare at it.  The urge to go to Simon was so strong; I basically hadn’t put down the framed photo of my deceased husband in an hour.  I was lying in my bed, holding a picture of a dead man while fantasizing about one who was very much alive and in the other room.  With the door cracked open waiting for me.  There was one part of Simon’s note that I just kept reading over and over.

I want to make you come. Hard. I want you to get lost in me and I want to hear you say my name over and over while we fuck.

While we fuck.

While we fuck.

I was pretty sure that Ben had never used the word fuck like that before.  Did we even fuck?  We made love, sure.  Our sex life was normal—at least, I think it was normal.  Don’t get me wrong, the passion wasn’t the same as when we first got together.  But after ten years, both of us working full time and raising a child, it was normal to have some of the desire dwindle, wasn’t it?

While we fuck.

I looked at the picture of my husband and sighed.  We didn’t fuck.  Not even in the beginning.   And I felt guilty for that now.  Maybe we should have been fucking.  I certainly didn’t do anything to entice him to want me the last few years.  Was it my fault our sex life had gotten boring?  I rested the picture of Ben over my heart and laid my hand over it.  I could feel my heart beating out of control beneath my fingers.

Shutting my eyes, I tried to force thoughts of Simon from my mind.  But it was no use.  Visions of his hard, sculpted body hovering over me had infiltrated my brain.  So, here I was, a thirty-three-year-old, single mother lying in my bed all alone with a picture of my dead husband held to my heart while I visualized fucking another man.

Fucking.

Not making love.

I needed my head examined.

After two hours and no sleep in sight, I decided the only way I was going to be able to get any rest was if I got everything I was feeling off of my chest.  Flicking on the light, I carefully set the framed photo of my beloved Ben on my nightstand and then opened the drawer and dug out a pen and piece of pretty stationery.  I would write down my thoughts to clear my mind.  I had no intention of actually giving the letter to Simon, so there was no reason to filter anything I said.

Dear Simon…

About the Author:

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans, and laptop, and drove cross-country to New York City in under four days. Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend, and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention. She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband and daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Disorderly Conduct, the first book in Tessa Bailey's Academy series was another great contemporary romance by this author which is really no surprise. I couldn't get enough of these characters. I'm not going to lie, Ever and Charlie were a little fucked up with the way they viewed relationships, but it all made for an entertaining romance and made it all the more satisfying when they fell for each other in the end. But as much as I enjoyed all the shenanigans in this book, I feel like the reasons behind why these two viewed relationships in the way they did was kind of weak. And the whole Mistress Manifesto thing was really kind of ridiculous and I was never really able to wrap my head around it. Other than that this book was wonderful. The love story in this book was sweet and sexy and so much fun and all in all this book was a win for me and I really recommend it!

REVIEW: Wrecked by Brill Harper

Synopsis:

I knew the moment I saw her bent over the hood of her car on the side of the road that Layna was trouble.

It looked like the opening scene from a porno—a shapely blonde in a short skirt waiting for me to tow her sports car out of a ditch and dirty up that sweet, pure body with my filthy mechanic hands. I could hear the bow-chicka-bow-wow soundtrack in my head.

Then she opened her sassy mouth and everything about my reclusive, sensible, quiet life changed because Layna is not reclusive, sensible, or quiet.

Unfortunately, she’s also mine.

We both knew it right away, whether we wanted it or not. But she’s got her demons, and I’ve got my work cut out for me.

She thinks I’m big, surly, and overprotective. She has no idea. Whatever she’s running from, I’m going to fix. Whatever she needs, I’m going to give her. And the sooner she figures out what she needs is me, the better off we’ll both be.

Author’s confession: Like all my Blue Collar Bad Boys, this hero is outrageous, excessive, overblown (heh), and overdone. Just the way we like them. He’s dirty; she’s sweet. He’s from the wrong side of the tracks. She’s a poor little rich girl. It’s trope heaven up in here. Also, not to spoil anything but there might be neckties and bedposts happening. What would you do if the dude on this cover was bound and determined to let you do whatever you wanted to his body?

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

Wrecked, the fourth Blue Collar Bad Boys book, was another quick, hot, and dirty book by Brill Harper. It was everything I've come to expect from these over the top and outrageous books and I loved it! Rogan and Layna's story was so much fun to read. I loved that these two were secluded in his small home for the majority of the story. The close quarters added to how hot I found their relationship. The part of the plot focused on Layna trying to get away from her abusive stepfather was okay, but this was the first time I kind of wanted to know more about something not surrounding the intense and sexy relationships between the main characters in these books. But other than that I absolutely loved this book. As I stated at the beginning of my review Wrecked was a fun, quick, hot, and dirty book. I loved it!!! And like with the other Blue Collar Bad Boys books I highly recommend this book.

5 out of 5 stars

So far, Reunion is definitely my favorite of the books set in the Temperance Fall world. This book was just so satisfying. The whole situation with Luke wanting Hannah for over a decade and finally getting the chance to show her that he is the man she belongs with really was perfect. And of course everything that happened between Luke and Hannah was off the charts hot as well as really sweet given their history as friends. I absolutely could not get enough of this book to the point that I couldn't help but read it twice. This book was just that good. I'm telling y'all Reunion was a flawless erotic novella and has once again proven that the duo that makes up London Hale can do no wrong with these stories.

REVIEW: When the Scoundrel Sins by Anna Harrington

Quinn can hardly believe that the shy bookish girl he teased as a child has grown into such a brazen beauty. The very idea of marrying Belle to right the wrongs of his past is downright shocking . . . and deliciously tempting. Too bad marriage, convenient or otherwise, is the last thing Quinn wants. He'll help Belle find a husband and be on his way. But if he can't control his attraction to the bride-to-be, this marriage could go up in flames-of wicked desire.

MY REVIEW

5 out of 5 stars

I read an ARC of this book back in June but I loved it so much that I still haven't been able to get it out of my mind. When the author first introduced the brothers in How I Married a Marquess I knew that Quinton was going to end up being my favorite of the Carlisle brothers and I wasn't wrong. His character was absolutely fantastic. He was everything I love in a hero of a historical romance novel and more. Pairing him with Annabelle was perfect. There was a lot of back and forth between these two making for a an entertaining read especially given Quinn's role in Belle's past misfortunes. But moving on from that I really loved the way that these two's relationship developed throughout the book from Belle's desperation to get married to Quinn's decision to help her to the meddling of others. Everything combined with their sweet interactions made for a swoon-worthy romance that I couldn't enough of. Overall, this novel was another perfect romance by the amazing Anna Harrington and I can't wait for the next book from the author!
